Our first quick round of precipitation that moved through last night brought a dusting up to an inch of snow for many locations. Now as that low heads on out of here we are seeing a little bit of sunshine through the afternoon. I still can't rule of the chance of some stray showers. A southwest...more wind will help to bring in some mild temperatures.

High pressure provided us with yet again another beautiful sunny day. Yes...there was still a breeze adding a bite to the air, but after all it is still February so a chill is expected. We head into next week with some quiet weather to start, but the second half of the week brings a more active...more weather pattern. We will have a couple chances of both snow, and some rain.

Even though the month of February has yet to provide us with a good old fashioned Nor'easter at least we are getting to enjoy some sunshine. Today was yet again another beautiful day. Skies were sunny, and temperatures were well above normal. If you are heading to the mountains this weekend I bet...more it feels like spring skiing out there. Our weather pattern will continue to be a quiet one for much of the upcoming week. The next chance of a possible storm system will be Thursday night into Friday.

Cloud cover last night lead to overnight lows being all over the place. Places like Portland and Augusta only dipped to 18 degrees, but Presque Isle got as low as -22. A warm front to our north is allowing for some mild air to move into Maine and New Hampshire today. Along with the mild temps...more though comes more cloud cover. Overall things will continue to be quiet and on the mild side through Thursday.

We got a cold blast of arctic air for the second half of the weekend, and it looks like we will have another bitter cold night ahead tonight. Lows are expected to drop around zero, and everybody will be experiencing subzero wind chill values. The National Weather Service has wind chill advisories...more and wind chill warnings for the places you see listed at the top of your screen. It is a good reminder that with these cold temperatures you not only want to take care of yourself, but also watch out for your pets. Please make sure they are not outside for an extended amount of time.

It was an interesting start to the weekend. Skies were cloudy through the entire day, and we finally saw a little snow. Unfortunately much of the snow didn't really amount to much with the temperatures in the 30s. The exception was far eastern Maine where we did see some accumulating snow. Snowfall...more reports during the late afternoon hours in Washington county were in the 2-4" range. As the snow continues to fall until around midnight I think Washington county could pick up a grand total of 4-8".

High pressure is in control of our weather today providing us with another beautiful sunny day. After a chilly start to the day high temperatures are expected to warm to seasonable conditions. The northern fringe of a storm system passing well to our south will give us a little more cloud cover in...more far southern Maine and New Hampshire later today and into tonight. Everyone else will continue with clear skies.

We started out the day with some snow showers, but quickly got into the sunshine for much of the day. High temperatures were seasonable outside, and it looks like they will remain that way for the second half of the weekend. Not a whole lot to talk about in the weather department over the next...more couple days with high pressure in control of our weather. No major storm systems in our near future.

We found ourselves on the northern fringe of a storm system today, and many places in the southern half of the state saw a dusting of snow. Even though the accumulation was light the snow was persistent through the day and was just enough to make things slippery out there. High pressure will
...more now be building in for the second half of the weekend. We also have a work week warm up to look forward to.
